This season was part of the process. He didn't just survive, he transformed. Heroes don't choose their suffering, the suffering is assigned to them because it is the only way to activate their power. The deeper the fall, the greater the rise. Without darkness, light has no story to tell. Darkness is not the enemy of the light. It is its purpose. Light exists to illuminate the darkness. It reaches into the depth to reveal what is unknown and ultimately to integrate that into the whole.
It is an illusion masquerading as clarity, still afraid of what it yet doesn't understand. To believe that light and darkness are at war is a complete misunderstanding. Darkness isn't the absence of light. It's a place where it hasn't yet arrived.
Darkness is a canvas for transformation. Without darkness, light has no canvas to demonstrate its brilliance upon. To run from darkness is to rob the light of its creative power.
What kind of light runs from darkness?
If light is true, what could it possibly fear?
It's an illusion, true light doesn't judge or fight shadows, it reveals them. A light that runs from darkness refuses its purpose.
